hello. my name is ivana mihaela, and most of the time i am a phd candidate in history at central european university.
right now i am in vienna, working on my dissertation on the history of department stores in socialist yugoslavia. i am also intersted in architecture and urban history, history of expertise and labor, women’s and gender history, as well as transnational history of state-socialism in central and eastern europe.
when i am not wasting my youth in the phd lab/home office, i enjoy low-effort political organizing, writing on art and girls, taking analog photos, and being bad at journaling.
